PATIENTS SEEKING DONORS

Sandra WM

Sandra WM

Hi, I am Sandra, and I'm reaching out to seek your help to find a kidney donor. In 2017, I was diagnosed with Lupus which impacted my kidneys. Despite managing at 15% kidney function for several years, Covid19 left me with only 3% function and now I'm on dialysis 3 times a week. Due to health issues, my family members are unable to donate a kidney to me.

I came to Canada in 2016 with my husband, son, and our beloved dog in hopes of finding a better life. We operate a Jamaican restaurant and retail business in Saskatoon, while our son completed his bachelor's degree from the University of Saskatchewan and works in the private sector.

When your kidneys are damaged, many other things begin to go wrong. A kidney transplant will significantly enhance my physical and mental health and restore normal kidney function. In addition to the physical benefits, the transplant will positively impact mental and emotional well-being. Ultimately, a successful will improve my quality of life and provide a brighter future.

Living with kidney failure is challenging, but I am committed to a healthy lifestyle. I find strength in prayer and positivity, and dream of a life where I can enjoy simple joys like spending a week in nature without the worry of dialysis.

If you are able to help, please contact me or the living donor coordinator at St. Paul’s Hospital at 306-655-5054. Your kindness will be the gift of continued life I've been waiting for.

With much love, Sandra
