Renante M
My name is Renante. I am married, and have two wonderful sons, and a grandchild.
In 1992, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and because my medications and doctor's appointment cost too much, my wife was forced to leave us in the Philippines, and work in Canada. Being separated from my wife for years wasn’t easy. In the year 2018 my sons, and I were given the opportunity to migrate to Canada to be with my wife. I have never been so happy to see my complete family again. We started making memories, happy memories until I was told that I will be needing a kidney transplant because my kidneys are slowly failing. This news crushed me and my family. There have been too many questions and “what ifs” that is why I am praying and hoping for a kidney donor.
I still want to live longer to be with my family. I still want to live normally like any other people. I still want to see my children have their own families. I like fixing things, watching youtube videos to help me with DIY projects, and listening to old school songs. I am a hard worker and continue to do house maintenance work to support our family and pay for my medications.
If you are interested in becoming a kidney donor, please reach out to me. I would love to hear from you.
