I am a 36 year old mom of two amazing kids.
I am an avid whitewater kayaker and thrive in the outdoors. I love to spend time on the river and in the water and have been helping my kids to get into the sport as well. I volunteer for our local paddling community and help to facilitate Ladies Night at our local river. Aside from paddling, my family loves to travel and camp and always have something on the go.
I found out about my kidney disease about 8 years ago after my daughter was born. Since then, we have been closely monitoring it with the healthcare team, but this year it has really progressed, to the point where I am now on dilaysis and very hopeful I can find a kidney donor soon.

Reason for kidney failure: Progress decline over the past 8 years, but really dropping within the last year. Scheduled for a PD catheter insertion this month and looking for a living kidney donor.
Current kidney function: IgA Nephropathy, stage 5 kidney failure
