Keith B
Keith is Indigenous and a member of the Tyendinaga Reserve in Deseronto, Ont. He now lives in London, Ontario. He worked construction for most of his working years. In his later years he ran an asphalt plant, working out of a construction site until he retired in 2014. Keith is an avid sports fan and enjoys NASCAR and MLB as well as listening to Country music, especially Vince Gill “Go Rest High On That Mountain."
Keith was able to visit his daughter in Arizona every year before he became ill with Polycystic Kidney Disease and is now too ill fo travel. A transplant would enable him to travel again to see his daughter. He has been married to his wonderful wife Gillian for 33 years. She cares for him and is doing her best to keep him off dialysis. He will soon have to start dialysis but we are working hard to find a potential donor before that happens.
We have a 2 year old miniature poodle, Ellie, who is the spark of Keith’s life. She has herself wrapped around his little finger. Keith has a huge heart for any and all animals.
A potential donor had stepped up earlier this year, but has been told her renal function isn't strong enough for her to be a donor. We were well into the testing and then it all came to a sudden stop, so were extremely disappointed. We are now back to square one looking for another donor, and that is easier said than done. To once be so close but now so far away.
