I am a wife, mother and Grandma to two amazing grandkids, a 10 year old boy and a 6 year old girl...hopefully more to come in the future! I love to spend time with my grandkids, swim, travel, hike and garden. I currently work full time in a hospital as a fundraiser.
Unfortunately, I am sicker than I look. I am tired, and I don't have a lot of energy with only have 10% kidney function right now. I am getting very close to the point of needing dialysis, which takes a huge toll on your body and limits your lifestyle with regular treatments required. I am hoping to find a living kidney donor for a pre-emptive transplant so I don't need to go on dialysis and I can continue to do the things I love to do.
A kidney transplant will change my life and give me my life back. I have signed my own organ donation card to donate any viable organs when I pass away.
