PATIENTS SEEKING DONORS

I am a 33 year old nurse, living in Vancouver. When I moved to the coast 7 years ago, I began pursuing my education and reached my goal working as a mental health nurse. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease due to Type 1 Diabetes and scarring on my kidneys. I began dialysis this June and am looking for a live donor so I can recover, return to work, and get back to the things I love.

I love taking my little dog Piper on outings to the park, beach or her favourite duck pond for a walk. I hope to be able to travel to visit the desert, the jungles, mountains and beaches. I hope to return to work where I feel appreciated, valued and rewarded. I miss my patients and the feeling of helping someone in need. I hope to be able stand as a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding in Costa Rica this December, to see her marry the love of her life.

I was told that a live kidney donation would have best chance of success; I could return to my normal life if I was able to find one. I hope to receive this incredible gift from a very special person, it takes strength and a kind soul to be interested in donating, thank you for your interest! A live kidney donation is an incredible gift to give and to receive, one I would cherish for the rest of my life. Thanks for your time.
