PATIENTS SEEKING DONORS

Greggory W

Greggory W

I have been an insurance broker for 33 years but currently on disability. I have also been a beekeeper for 5 years and have written a few songs (although only my cats will ever hear me sing them). A transplant of my kidneys would help me return to my more normal lifestyle where I had the energy to complete my day-to-day activities without having to sit down every 10 minutes.

I was an Auxiliary Officer with Ontario Provincial Police for 12 years including being a member of the Commissioners Ceremonial Unit. Unfortunately, I had to stand down from these duties in 2017 as I could no longer function without pain to my kidney areas. Patrol duties were definitely off the table. While I would be unable to return to duty, I have many other activities including taking care of my bee hives and looking after two rescue donkeys (one is 11 years old and one is 30).

If you are considering becoming a living donor, please reach out to me directly or contact Krista Morgan, Nurse Navigator at Peterborough Regional Health Centre at krmorgan@prhc.on.ca or 705-743-2121 X3770. Thank you.
