Kidney failure took me by surprise and, for a while, my life was turned upside down. I had been a world traveler because of my business activities. In South Africa, I was part of a team whose goal was to provide banking card services to Africa's "unbanked." In Poland, our company developed Solar Energy installations - both ground-mount and rooftop systems.
The travel ended and so did my business activities to a great extent. Fortunately, I have business associates who value me and include me in whatever projects they can. I am grateful to these people, without whom I may well have fallen through the cracks. I am eager to work with them again on more international projects.
I am also an avid outdoorsman who loves hiking and canoeing in Ontario. No matter where I've traveled, I love Canada best! We Canadians have it good, don't we?
I'd certainly welcome any contact with a potential donor. The fact that you have made it to this site indicates to me that you are thinking about taking a step to become a living kidney donor to potentially save someone's life - and that means SOOO much!
Thanks for stopping by to read my story. If you are thinking about being a living donor, please reach out to me.
