Hi, my name is Dave.
I am now retired after running my own business doing fire hydrant testing and repairs. I now enjoy my hobbies which include anything related to automobiles.
My wife, Krista, and I also enjoy walking the beach and warm weather and spending time with family and friends. We would like to tour the rest of Canada as part of what we hoped would be an active and fulfilling retirement life.
Having a genetic form of kidney disease limits the potential donors that could come forward in my family and makes it hard for me to find a living kidney donor. My sister and two half sisters have the same genetic form of kidney disease I do, so they are unable to donate.
Dialysis has changed our lives completely. I had always planned to travel in my retirement but that dream is on hold for now unless I am able to get a transplant.
