My name is Daniel, and I live in Ottawa. In 2024, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure and began dialysis sessions 3 times a week for 4 hours each session. I have completed my transplant evaluation and am seeking a compatible live kidney donor.
I love sports, music, travelling, and spending time with my friends and family. I have been working part-time in a local Café for the last 6 years. I have been so lucky with the support of my family and social network who have pulled together to ensure that I am able to follow a very strict kidney friendly diet, exercise and spread the word about living donor programs.
If you are reading this, you may be interested in learning more. Receiving a kidney from a living donor would allow me to live my life to the fullest. This would improve my chances to get back to my plans before kidney failure, like connecting more with friends and family, finding new working and housing opportunities, playing sports like swimming, traveling, and dancing!
