My name is Brian and I’m a loving husband to my wife Jennifer, and proud father to Robyn and Daniel. I love golfing, Formula 1, riding my bike, watching hockey, doing projects around the house, and music like the Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, and Rush. Our family is very active and we always have something on the go. We have a 6 year old German shepherd, Jaxx, who loves to be the center of our attention.
I became aware my kidneys were failing in August of 2023 and it has taken a huge toll on my everyday life. Even simple things such as mowing the lawn has become an exhausting task. Receiving a new kidney would be life changing. I would be able to resume day to day activities, travel with my family again, and watch my kids grow up. Our family used to do a lot of family vacations to Prince Edward Island and Myrtle Beach, and this is something I hope we'll be able to do again in future if I can get a kidney transplant.
When we met 34 years ago, my wife and I bonded over the fact that we are both adopted, but this has posed a bit of difficulty during the process of trying to find a kidney donor, as I don't have as many biological family members to speak with about possible donation. A couple immediate family members/friends have stepped up to do the testing but for medical reasons, are unable to proceed.
