I am a passionate social justice advocate in my work as a high school English teacher. I love art and writing. I am a big animal lover and enjoy nature. I most of all want to be healthy to return to being of service to my community. Because of my health, I have had to step away from my teaching career. A transplant would allow me to get back to the teaching work that I love. I am told a pre-emptive transplant from a living kidney donor, prior to starting on dialysis, would be the best thing for my long term health.
Several family members have been tested as potential living donors but no one has been identified as a match. I am hopeful someone will read about my quest for a living donor and come forward to help me.
