PATIENTS SEEKING DONORS

Aki O

Aki O

My name is Aki. I came from Japan to Canada 30 years ago. When I was 7 years-old, I was diagnosed with a kidney disease.

After the couple treatments, I got back my normal life back, but 4 years ago, my kidney function got much worse. I had to quit my job as a Sales Operation Manager in IT industry, and since then, I have never missed exercise and diet to maintain my kidney function. However, four months ago, I had to start hemodialysis.

I want to get my normal life back to be free from the catheters that are in my veins. I want to be able to take baths, swim, work, travel, and hug my sweet dogs and husband. Thanks you for reading my profile.

If you are interested in becoming a living donor please reach out to me directly or to julie.cissell@uhn.ca or 416-340-4800, ext. 4577
