My name is Marichu.
I am originally from the Philippines and moved to Canada in 2003 in search of a better life for myself and my family. I have a husband and two sons. I was initially a child caregiver when I came to Canada and eventually became a long-term care provider. I love to provide care to people especially the elderly.
Some of my favourite hobbies include hiking, fishing, bowling, strolling the dog, gardening, watching Netflix, and also travelling with my family.
In 2019, things took a turn when I was suddenly diagnosed with IgA nephropathy, which was the start of my kidney failure. I was monitored closely by my doctor during this time but unfortunately my kidneys failed in June, 2023. Ever since I have been trying to stay positive to keep my life going for the sake of my family.
