Claude G
I have chronic kidney failure. The main cause I believe was do to my diabetes and the metformin I was taking for the diabetes and also having high blood pressure.
My kidneys are now functioning at 13% and at our last hospital visit to the hospital, my wife and I received a lot of information about dialysis and kidney transplant which I was not interested in at the time, but after talking to a few people from the Transplant Ambassador Program I now have a different perspective on life. My wife and I have 4 children and 6 grandchildren ranging for 2 to 27. I'm still not that keen on having dialysis, but have no choice until I can get a kidney donor.
If you can help, please contact me directly or the Transplant Ambassador Program at www.transplantambassadors.ca
